WHAT WE TEACH

Tang Soo Do - The Traditional Art

Tang Soo Do, often called "the way of the knife hand," is a dynamic martial art that blends powerful strikes, kicks, and self-defense techniques from both Chinese and Japanese traditions. It’s a discipline known for its precision, power, and effectiveness.

Fun fact: Chuck Norris, the legendary martial artist, earned his black belt in Tang Soo Do while serving in the Air Force. He later studied various martial arts, including Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Hapkido, eventually combining the best techniques from each to create American Tang Soo Do—a style that’s as versatile as it is formidable.

Muay Thai - The Stand-Up Striking Art

Muay Thai is a combat sport and martial art that originated in Thailand. It is also known as the "Art of Eight Limbs" because it utilizes eight points of contact, including punches, kicks, elbows, and knee strikes.

Muay Thai is a challenging and intense full-body workout that not only builds physical strength and endurance but also improves coordination, balance, and mental focus. It has a rich history and tradition in Thailand and is widely regarded as one of the most effective striking martial arts in the world.

At our school, we emphasize proper technique and safety while also pushing our students to reach their full potential in the sport.

Krav Maga - The Modern Self-Defense Art

Unlike traditional martial arts, Krav Maga was born out of necessity in the Israeli military, where time for hand-to-hand combat training was limited. To equip soldiers with practical self-defense skills quickly, the Krav Maga system was created. It emphasizes simple, effective techniques that work in real-life attack situations.

Krav Maga draws from a variety of combat sports, including Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, wrestling, as well as Ju-Jitsu and Karate. With our Krav Maga program, you can master these techniques in a relatively short time and learn to protect yourself in any situation.

Brazilian Jujitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a challenging martial art that builds both physical strength and mental resilience. Developed from Judo and perfected by the Gracie family in Brazil, BJJ emphasizes technique over brute force, making it effective for people of all sizes.

BJJ is not just about learning how to defend and control on the ground—it’s also about developing the mental toughness to stay focused and calm under pressure. It’s a full-body workout that strengthens your body and sharpens your mind, teaching you discipline, strategy, and the ability to think critically in the heat of the moment.

Please note, we currently offer BJJ classes exclusively to students enrolled in our Black Belt Training Programs.
